The Printing House of the Central Bank of Egypt is considered one of the oldest printing houses in the Middle East and Africa region. It was established in the 1960s and opened for production in 1967, so the Egyptian Banknote would be printed inside the Arab Republic of Egypt not abroad, by relying on the professional technical cadres who were trained on the new printing system (Offset and Intaglio) at that time.
