The Royal Australian Mint in conjunction with some Australian Newspapers released this set of 14 coins. The set was named "ANZACS Remembered". All of the coins depict various war related issues that the Australian & New Zealand Military Forces were involved in as part of WWI from 1914 to 1918.
The set comprised of fourteen NCLT 20 cent coins & one NCLT $1 coin. The first coin in the set and the folder was given away free but the rest had to be purchased at a cost of $3.00 each with a voucher from the newspaper. The mintages were different for each coin in the set as they were issued individually. Mostly the mintages were around 300,000 for each coin although the free one was around 635,000.
The One Dollar red poppy coin had a mintage of only 13,543. It was only available as part of a special promotion and was not normally available with the set. It fetches very high prices on the Australian secondary coin market.
(See the actual coin pages for exact mintage for each coin)
They were issued in individual coincards that could be slotted into pages in the special Collector Folder.
