This 1970 Pink Label Ordinary Uncirculated Set of coins was one of two 1970 Decimal coin sets Minted by The Royal Australian Mint in Canberra and issued by the New Zealand Government Treasury. It was issued in a red plastic wallet.
The set contains six standard definitive coins. 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c & 50c.
The $1 coin is commemorating the Royal Visit by HM The Queen when she visited New Zealand between 12–30 Mar 1970 for the James Cook bicentenary celebrations and she introduced Prince Charles and Princess Anne to New Zealand. This tour initiated the royal 'walk-about'.
A 1970 Blue Label Polished Specimen Set of coins was also issued in a blue plastic wallet.
