This 1984 BU Set of coins was minted by The Royal Mint in Llantrisant and issued by the New Zealand Government Treasury. It was issued in a black plastic wallet.
The set contains six standard definitive coins. 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c & 50c.
The NCLT $1 coin is commemorating the Chatham Island or Black Robin. It is an endangered bird from the Chatham Islands off the east coast of New Zealand. It is closely related to the South Island Robin and was first described by Walter Buller in 1872.
