Description

This 6 coin Fine Silver Proof Set was issued by the RAM in 2024.

 

Only one coin in the set, the $2 coin, is based on the standard circulation coin as issued by the RAM in 2024. It has the Dan Thorne 1st Portrait of King Charles III on the obverse. 

 

The other five coins in the set have five different QE II effigies on their obverses.

The 5 cent coin has the 1st effigy by Mary Gillick as used on Australian coins from 1953-1964

The 10 cent coin has the 2nd effigy by Arnold Machin used on Australian coins from 1966 to 1984.

The 20 cent coin has the 3rd effigy by Raphael Maklouf used on Australian coins from 1985 to 1998.

The 50 cent coin has the 4th effigy by Ian Rank-Broadley used on Australian coins from 1998 to 2019.

The $1 coin in the set has the 6th effigy by Jody Clark used on Australian coins from 2019 to 2024.

All five coins with the Queen Elizabeth II Effigy has the Memorial Inscription on the Obverse.

 

Coins were issued in individual capsules, then placed in slots in a presentation box, then in an outside cardboard slipcase.
