Who are the Numista master referees?

Last update: 21 April 2023

Master referees are volunteers who commit their time and knowledge to coordinate the improvements to the catalogue, with a larger scope than referees.

Master referees are appointed independently for coins, banknotes, and exonumia.

They have the same role as referees for issuers which don't have a referee.

Master referees can also assist referees in various manners:

  • They can verify catalogue modification requests in place of referees when the request is more than 2 weeks old.
  • They can delete year lines, usually upon requests from referees.
  • They can delete pages from the catalogue, usually upon requests from referees.
  • They can access the catalogue modification history.
