There is no deity except the one God alone he has no equal.
In the name of God this dirham was struck in al-Basra in the year seven and sixty and one hundred (167).

Translation:
The Caliph al-Mahdi.
Issued by order of Musa, heir to the Muslims
Muhammad is the Messenger of God. He sent him with guidance and the religion of truth so that he might prevail over all religions, even if the polytheists disliked it.
