In the center of the drawing, the name of the region is inscribed vertically along the spire of Strasbourg Cathedral. The building stands on the right-hand side of the design, representing the architecture of the Grand Est region, and more specifically the region's prefecture. Another symbol of Alsace, the cathedral is topped by a stork. On the left, the imposing silhouette of a grape leaf frames the portrait of Clovis, the first king of the Franks and a historical figure emblematic of the region due to a famous event in its history: his baptism in Reims. Finally, a bunch of grapes, linked to the vine leaf, recalls an activity common to many parts of the region: viticulture, particularly developed in Champagne and Alsace.
