Marie-Thérèse de Savoie was born on January 13, 1756, to Victor-Amédée III, King of Sardinia, and Marie-Antoinette of Spain. She married the Comte d'Artois, the future Charles X, in 1773. She died on June 2, 1805, abandoned by her husband.
