Translation: The steamboat 'Vautour' carrying a white pennant on her arrival in port is seized by us the people of Lyon and by the citizen E. Arago in the name of the Republic 29 March 1848.

This little trading steamer was seized by the revolutionary mob, her crew imprisoned for a few hours but subsequently released, since it was proved that she was not sailing under monarchical colours.
