Crowned king seated on his throne, holding a scepter in his right hand. He receives the homage of a woman [personifying money] kneeling at the feet of the King (the Mint), carrying a balance in his left hand, to check the weight of the parts; and a cornucopia in his right hand, from which flow of coins; across the balance of the press to strike coins, which guarantees good quality. Under the throne, signature: G.
