Description

This 8 coin Proof Year Set was issued by the RAM in 2006.

There were eight standard definition coins included, 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 & $2.

This was the first time the One and Two cent coins appeared with the Ian Rank Broadley 4th Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

The 50 cent coin was made from 80% silver and was also a round shape rather than Dodecagonal (12-sided).

This was done to mimic the original round silver 50 cent coin from 1966.

The Set was celebrating 40 Years of Decimal Currency.

Coins were issued in a sealed clear plastic slab which was clipped into a dark blue plastic folder that was inserted into a cardboard sleeve.
