What SpookyDEU collects
I'm a passionate numismatist with a primary focus on the coinage of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire, covering the period from the foundation of Constantinople in 330 AD to its fall in 1453. I specialize in identifying and collecting coins across the full spectrum of Eastern Roman history—bronze folles, silver miliaresia, gold solidi, trachys and their many stylistic adaptations between Emperors.
My secondary focus is the Roman Empire (27 BC – 476 AD), where I enjoy exploring the political, religious, and military shifts reflected in the coinage of emperors from Augustus to Romulus Augustulus.
In addition, I collect Medieval and Modern European coins, with a strong interest in Eastern European countries
I'm here to share knowledge and learn from others. Always happy to help with ID or discuss obscure legends and iconography.
