I tried looking up and all I found is that it's a coin that had been left in the washing machine drum... That would
be impossible in this case as I've opened the box of coins after 40 yrs, it was owned by my mother.

ZacUK, i think it is a coin and that's the best picture possible. No idea of the diameter.
