Volga Bulgaria [solved]

I suggest that Volga Bulgaria should be moved out of the Islamic states. It minted coins circa AD 898-997, but only converted to Islam in AD 922. Before AD 922, it was a Tengrian state. So it wasn't an Islamic state when it issued about half of its coins, this one from AD 912 for example.

Although most of its coins look Islamic, all the ones minted before 922 AD are imitations. Many other states issued imitations of Islamic coins and are not under Islamic states (for example, this dirham of the Kingdom of Jerusalem).

I would further suggest that the dates of the currency are changed to Dinar (circa 898–997), according to Mitchiner, with 1 Dinar = 10∕7 Dirhams.

Finally, the last sentence in the description is not correct:
"No official coinage was discovered, but khans from Volga Bulgaria often used Samanid imitations and crude similar dirhams."

I suggest replacing it:

The Volga Bulgars began to emit their own coins at the end of the 9th century AD. These coins were mainly imitations of silver dirhams of the Samanids, their main trading partners. While continuing to strike these imitations into later decades, during the first half of the 10th century, the Volga Bulgars also issued semi-imitative dirhams, adding unique local elements to the imitations. Subsequently, starting with AD 949/50 and continuing on and off until AD 986/87, the Volga Bulgars minted their so-called “official” coinage, dirhams that showed in the legend the name of the local mints of Bulġār and Suwār, the name of their rulers, and correct dates of issue. It was contemporary with the Kyivan Rus', which is level 1, so I suggest level 1 for Volga Bulgaria as well.

After discussion, we will keep it where it is for now. Moving it elsewhere would open many similar requests.
