I propose re-naming the Wielandt references for Swiss Canton coinage for clarification and consistency.

From “Wielandt” to “Wielandt LU” (Catalog for Luzern)

From “Wielandt S” to “Wielandt SH” (Catalog for Schaffhasen)

From “WielandtSZ” to Wielandt SZ" (Catalog for Schwyz)

I previously submitted “Wielandt ZG” for Zug.

I'm open to any other abbreviations that make sense.

Best regards, Jim

Why do we have to write the name out? We have far to many long ass abbreviations, if you can even call them that, in our reference list.

I believe that you have misunderstood my post. I am only proposing what is between the quotation marks.  That includes the authors last name and a 2 letter abbreviation for the canton that the book is written for.  Eleven characters total if you include the space.

As I stated, I am open to other suggestions if you have something you would like to contribute.

It was more a comment on the whole list not only this particular case. Yes, of course we only have a limited amount of letters in the alphabet and many similar names but those very long “abbreviations” still look very strange in my eyes.

These references have been aligned with same format.
