Coin metal type - IOM 1 pound

Hello,

I have this new Isle of Man pound

I'm trying to work out what metal it is composed as. On the packaging and website I bought it from, the Isle of Man Post, its metal is described as “Nickel Brass” most likely an alloy. But on the coin order that was laid before Tynwald, the technical specification table describes it as “Nickel plated brass”

Is it most likely the “nickel plated brass” is a mistake, and it is actually the alloy?

Definitely needs addition to the listings - as no other country has done a full circulating coin series for King Charles III so far.

The Isle of Man is the only place that still has a round 1 Pound coin.

Aidan.

Not the only one… Gibraltar also still issue the new round pounds (not yet 2023 coins but two issued in 2022 were still round).

At least one person has added them, but they're pending. So I'm sure they'll pop up eventually.
