Hi,

I got this 1 paisa coin in a swap as a 2031, which is correct, but the Nepalese number indicated in numista, does NOT show the alternate way of writing the ONE, which you find in the SCWC as a straight NINE.

in numista, it's written like this:

In the end it's a general question question about the numbers from Nepal, since you also have alternates on the 5 and 9, if I remember correctly?

How to show alternate numbers with the same “content” is certainly not an easy doing!

Hello,
Unicode doesn't have a different code for both forms of the Devanagari numeral 1. So I don't have a solution for this issue.

I'm not surprised, but somehow, we have to indicate, that there are more signs for the “1”, “5” and “9”, since most members probably don't know that. How to do that, would probably be to show the chart of the different numbers for all the coins in the comment sections?

That ought to be in all “comment” sections of Nepalese coins, as I said.
