Hello,

I've already identified my other coin as a 1 Gross Wencezlaus II 1300-1305.  —  THANX to CRONOS22

But, I can't seem to identify this one….it doesn't seem to be a 1 gross…(originally thought it was 1 gross Podebrady..?!?!)

specifically the 3 big claws (?) hanging down from the dragon's left legs doesn't match any of my attempts…

28 MM diameter…less than 1 oz (per my postal scale)

Must be a different denomination….

a lot of different denominations / year periods…sigh

Anyone?

Maybe you can read the letters enough to give me a president??

p.s. sorry for poor photos…best I could get

Hello, Vladislaus II for Prague? But I'm not sure, legend to compare

Hello Cronos22,

thank you for such a quick response….!!

The 2nd link you gave

 https://www.cgb.fr/royaume-de-boheme-wladislas-ii-gros-de-prague-n-d-prague-tb,fre_300227,a.html

Matches dragon exactly…other 2 links didn't…

BUT,  lettering doesn't match….

At least I know it is Vladislas II and a gross

will help narrow down the search

in photo it's not easy, if the links that I attached can help, perhaps see the variants, my domain is rather the antiques, Greek, Roman, Byzantine etc... I will look tomorrow if I find another thing, in France it’s evening (10:30 p.m.)! and excuse my english it's not very good

Lettering matches your 1st link

Dragon matches the 2nd link

what does this mean…

can't find it on Numista.com

thanx…

not all the coins are on Numista, I will look at other sites tomorrow, but it may be a variation, I will send you other links that I find!

There are a large number of die varieties for this coin.

You can look in this auction at lots 1289-1303  to get some idea:  https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=sale&sid=6642&cid=207972

Hello Tdziemia,

Thank you for your time and the link.

Unfortunately none of them match the dragon pattern on my coin.

But, it is very interesting the prices they fetched at auction .

It'll probably help me establish a value for my coin….

anyone have any idea?

…my initial thought is somewhere between $90 and $200

thanx…mark

All,

After checking various coins on acsearch.com, coinarchives, and numnisbids.com I believe I found a match….

It is a :   1 Gross - Vladislaus II MB# 16, N# 90289   (does anyone disagree??)

  N#90289

Now I have to determine whether the coin pictured in my swaps is Fine or Very Fine, and what it's value is…
