What's the view on moving the bond coupon notes from Exonumia to Banknotes as these notes are included in the Krause Modern Banknote catalogs and have a Pick number (see image attached).

Example: 500 Roubles - Armenia – Numista

There is another issue of 1000 Roubles, which is not listed in the catalog but I do own one.

Poke @Oklahoman and @gyoschak for opinion, whether this should be included in banknotes please.

My opinion is yes, all items appearing in SCWPM should be in Banknotes.

But many other previously expressed opinions here at Numista by other members regarding similar items is the opposite, stating that these items are solidly in the Exonumia realm.  One example is US Military Payment Certificates which all appear in SCWPM Specialized Issues, but have been forced into Exonumia by Numista user opinion via multiple discussions.  Again, my opinion is that these US MPCs should be in Banknotes.

I would argue we should ignore SCWPM and do our own research to establish if a particular note was freely used as money across the territory of the issuer. The US MPCs were only used inside military bases, hence their move to Exonumia. As for these Armenian bond coupons, how were they used? Once that's determined, we can make a decision.

Hello! This topic has been idle for almost a year, with no further opinions regarding such emissions.

There was an old thread too, inconclusive: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic136935.html

Is there still anything to be commented/questioned or can we keep things as they are?

Regards,

Vladimir.
