Hi - The "Duplicate this page" function is  a fantastic time saver when adding new coins that are similar to existing ones. However would it be possible for the “Reference number” field to not be copied from the donor page as a new coin should always have a different Reference number (KM# etc). A couple of mistakes have been made when pages were duplicated and not edited correctly and the wrong KM# number was copied to the new page,.

Thanks - Mike

For SPINK reference numbers are the same regardless of the metal. Therefore am downvoting this.

Spink is inferior to Krause Mischler so I  laugh at your downvote.

Tags are should also be removed as they do not always apply when using the function.

Same suggestion: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic144273.html

Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.

It would be nice to have the references and tags as “tentative”. Show them, but require a click from the page creator or they don't get saved.

(My first thought was to require a click either way, but that could get annoying. Another option is require one of three things: A) Click to keep the same reference code. B) Click to exclude the reference code. C) Typing in the reference code field clears the click requirement.)

But all these options get trickier when there are multiple reference codes in the original page.
