Hello everyone,

while researching Polish coins on Numista, I noticed something weird. Some of them are in the ‘coins’ section of the catalogue, like this one:

N#240285

But a bigger part of them are in the exonumia section, like these.

N#428729

N#240280

So, my question is, where should they go? On one hand, they were issued due to the fact that the economic reform by Grabski in 1924 slowed down the circulation of money in the Second Polish Republic, so they were a kind of Notgeld. On the other hand, they were only circulating in military cooperatives, not in the whole city that they were minted in.

Kind regards.

I don't know if it will help or create more confusion, but the categories are being changed (implemented some time this year) so the real question is where the items belong in the new system.

Thank you for the reply! I think that it'll be easier to sort them there, they'll probably be added to the “local coinage” category.

As new categories are established, you are free to request them changed to proper category.
