I would like to buy this book (or download a full copy), Robert Tye Jitals, A Catalogue and Account of the Coin Denomination of Daily Use in Medieval Afghanistan and North West India. I just can't find it or it is not available. I'm trying to identify my jital coins and that book would help me. I know there is a 25 page copy you can download but I need more specific data.

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins

Thanks, but that book is out of stock and they only mail inside India.

If you DM me your contact info, I can forward it to Rob.

EDIT — Oh! Wait a minute… I think I can get it for you. Will be back soon.

EDIT 2 — Here is the Numista page for the book. The link to Academia.edu is only for…

the 25 pages of the Type Catalogue, perhaps useful for those needing it for basic attribution and reference.

If you're unable to download it, let me know and I'll get it for you.

Thanks, but from that link I get only the 25 page for the book and I need the whole book. Now I have on my table some Khwarezmian dynasty jitals and based on Numista I know they are Tye#246 but I don't know the exact variation. I believe that book has those variations mentioned.

Oh! I see from your OP that you already knew the 25-page selection. I don't know how I missed that. — Sorry!

I can ask Rob whether there is any way to get the whole book other than through the email address he provides on Academia.

If not, perhaps I can get the relevant pages about his #246. Or else if you have pictures of the coin, I can email them to him and ask…

Whichever way you prefer… Let me know…

PS: I know Rob because I contacted him to discuss one of his papers on small change in 19th century England. Since then we have discussed quite a wide variety of topics over email and in Academia, mostly related to Numismatics.

Thanks. My priority is to find the whole book because I have 80-100 pieces of Jitals which I try to identify. That #246 was the one I managed to identify and I noticed that I have some coins which are a bit different than we have on Numista at the moment.

So the whole book is priority number one but if that is not possible I appreciate to receive #246 pages too.

I’ve also been looking for the entire book for a long time.

What helped me was the website Zeno.ru there you can find many examples of coin variations. It’s not exactly a catalog, but rather a collection of various coins, and is always very useful for me.

OK — I'll let Rob know that I have at least two collectors interested in getting the whole book.

It was self-published before PDF was a normal thing to do for such books, so distribution and accessibility are a problem.
