Recently I bought, 3 Lei 1966 coin and the edge type is different from the edge type mentioned in Numista catalogue.

There are two wavy lines and the wavy lines are separated by stars at both sides (Two wavy lines and 2 Stars alternatively placed).

Could you please confirm the edge type.

Thanks & regards,

Hi Sjoelund,

Thanks for the immediate response.

Measurements looks like same as catalogue. Kindly find the attached images for your reference.

One side star

Other side star

Here is an image of the FULL edge of my 3 lei coin:

There are two wavy segments separated by two 5 pointed stars.

Numista is stating:

Two wavy lines throughout the circumference, interrupted by a plain segment on one side, and a segment with a 5-ray star on the other.

Either Numista is wrong or there are two edge varieties.

Not that different?

You have two stars on your coin, thamizhelan has two stars on their coin, Numista says there is only one star.

Numista is most probably wrong, even SCWC is wrong:

But real live coins seem to show two wavy lines separated by two stars! Both mine and the OP's coin…..

With an NRI of 5 there should be plenty more members that can confirm.

My CR has just been validated, so the referee agrees.
