Evaluatievraag over deze colle tie

This set is in my dad's possession also his name on the certificate  , I just can't find any information about this set , does anyone have information to share about this set and what it would be worth?

I suspect just Silver value, which is quite high at the moment. They are sterling silver so pure .999 (from what I could read from the Dutch (or is it Flemisch)), either way I can read that easier than the French. You would have to do the calculations on the weight. As I am not sure they are actually coins, if they are, then there might be extra collectors value, if they are just medallions then I suspect Silver price is all you will get for them.

Have you tried finding individual ones in the catalogue?

Benelux Muntkantoor seems to be a subsidiary of the Göde Group, a German private company which mints collectibles.

I agree with King that the value is likely limited to the silver content.

Here's the translation:

The undersigned personally guarantees the authenticity and the high silver content of each strike from the “Belgian Kings” series.

Each piece in this edition is struck in 999/1000 fine silver, in proof quality, carefully refined and finished, and is available exclusively from the Benelux Mint Office.

This collection is strictly limited to 5,555 complete collections worldwide.

The splendor, elegance, and fascination embodied in this collection will continue to convince and delight future generations.

You may truly be proud to own the “Belgian Kings” collection, which will undoubtedly give you great pleasure.

Not sure if these are from the same series or not (the auction notes say they are sterling silver which would mean not, but…)

I agree with the others … they are not coins, and if they were of substantial numismatic value we would probably be able to find examples selling at auctions.

Hello

These kinds of medals, issued by private companies, are only worth the value of their metal. They aren't numismatic in the true sense of the word and don't interest collectors. I'm very familiar with this type of production, and it's not at all worthwhile to buy these kinds of medals.

Thank you for the message !

I have been looking for them in the past I do think these are just medallions as you said , I will have a look through the cataloged just in case , all coins beside the small one are 999/1000 finesilver ~> 20 grams a coin amd there are 16 of them so that is a total of 320 grams of 999/1000 fines finesilver  , rhe small coin is 11.5 grams and it's called new silver , not sure what kind of silver that is.

New silver was a trade name (a con really) for Cupronickel (Copper Nickel) in German in the 80s ish. It is simply not silver, I think it was banned for being misleading.

320 grams is enough that you are talking over €700 to a jeweller if they are willing to buy at the moment with silver being so high. I don’t think a coin dealer would take them, because when the silver price falls, they will struggle to sell them at that price. But someone on eBay might take a risk and pay the full silver price alone plus a bit more if two people are interested.
