Random, but why are Malawian coins so thick?

I just got my first Malawian coins and it surprised my how thick they were. Especially the 10 Kwacha coin.

Which coin are you refering to? And what is thick?

...you can run,  but you can't hide...

The 10 and 5 kwacha coin surprised me. It's thickest in the sense it is wider than is tall, and personally think that it just looks fat yk.

The malawian 10 and 5 kwacha coin. It's thickest in the sense that it feels disproportionate to the size. Also, it feels quite bulky to hold and heavy as well

They like thicc coins and they can not lie?

what can I say….

Are you sure you haven’t just laid the coin down? All coins are then wider than their height 😂
