Good day,

Appreciate if you can give your opinions regarding this 2 Kopecks coin i bought recently..
But the weight of 9,18 gram (cheap scale) seems way to low.. I bought actually 2 from the same guy, the 1815 piece weights 14,7gram.
But the coin is not really screaming “Fake”..  but something seems not to be right i guess..
An counterfeited coin made back then would also be a good addition to my collection.. 😉

Is the thickness correct? The details seem fine to me.

:)

Only 1812 got overweight variant. State sponsored replicas are with 1810-1811 date and follow weight standards.

Thickness is roughly 1,75mm
Diameter is aprox 29mm

Thickness is 0,55 mm too small, probably the cause of it being underweight. Still unsure of it being a counterfeit, maybe some more members can list the weight of their examples, I’ll measure mine when I get home.

:)

Mine weighs 13,93 grams, diameter 28,93 mm and thickness 2,66 mm. A bit overweight since the planchet is 0,36 mm too thick. This probably means these coins have a bit of variaton in thickness, though mine is not as extreme as your examples @$and€r . Could you take some pictures of the edge? The edge on mine is perfectly flat.

:)

Please see below for both,  i had no daylight anymore.. So i took it under lamplight..

Bitkin 353. 1813 2 kopek from Ekaterinburg have only reeded (type 1) edge

Weight is important cause period coins were counted by weight.

Hello tokul!

Is this a digital version of the Bitkin catalog? If so, would you mind telling me where I can access it?

I searched everywhere, but the only 3 users with a name similar to that one apparently haven't accessed this site for years…

You did not get reference to some social network company and how they trained their AI models.

I understand the reference. But how is this useful for my request?
