Hello, and I hope you are well! I am requesting another missing South Asian issuer to be added to the catalog, this time Tiruchirappalli.

Name: “Tiruchirappalli”

Coins: temporarily kept under: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?e=tinnevelly_indian_state

Introduction:  Trichinopoly, currently known as Tiruchirappalli, was a strategic city and fort in South India that served as a vital base for the British East India Company during the Carnatic Wars. Under the Madras Presidency, the location became a center for local administrative coinage, particularly known for its distinct copper cash and "pulu" issues.

Numismatic Note: Coins attributed to Trichinopoly are often characterized by their crude strike and local style, frequently featuring a stylized idol or the cross-and-orb design of the EIC. These were minted to facilitate small-scale local trade within the district before the 1835 Uniform Coinage Act standardized currency across British India.
