A couple of months ago it was told by the government, as a gossip, that a new currency would be issued by the end of this year and the early 2014. It's meant to replace the "Peso" and be called "Peso Federal" (or Federal Peso in English).
As I'm studying Design at school and I love designing currency (coins or banknotes, I like it whether the material), I created these...
I tried to erase completely the appareance of people in them, as we have had during our whole numismatic history, just to "ban" political arguments (in fact, the Senate is trying to issue right now a Juan Perón banknote that, as you may know, was a very influential person from our history but he was a dictator and not all Argentinians agreed with his political views; there was a huge political argument when the Evita banknote was issued last year). Instead, I added the Argentinian fauna for one side, and the most iconic Argentinian landscapes. Each banknote represents a geological region from the country, the Antarctica, Chaco, Cuyo, the Patagonia, the Puna, the Mesopotamia, and the Pampas.
In my opinion, the best one is the 100 Pesos one.
The actual Peso worths (according to the Argentinian Government) 0.20 USD approximately. But, the real value given by independent economists, is of 0.10 USD. This new currency would erase a "0" from the exchange rate and give the Peso a value of 2 USD (or 1 USD according to the parallel dollar).
Here, the designs:

Little detail: this banknote would have phosphorescent plancton by the "sea" when seen in the dark.

Personally: I hate this one

I hope you liked them :`
Wish Argentina a little bit of luck with its government and economy (8
