Did you know that most copyright Numista coins belong to borge, not Xavier?
Elaborate!
Very true. They were among the first images on Numista. It's Numista's heritage.

I did not know that! Well, anyway, that explains it! And we are probably allowed to replace them then, right?
In the interests of making this site better I would say any picture that isn't as good as the one a user has should be added.. Sometimes I will upload a poor condition scarce coin to give people an idea, then when I or someone else gets a better one it is replaced by that. I don't see why other members can add a coin and have theirs replaced but Numista ones cannot be.. Seems rather childish IMO. 1 rule for all definitely required !  8)
There's a lot of pride involved when uploading a new picture.

But when someone replaces a decent or really nice photo with a poor photo (lighting facing upwards, bad coloring, etc), no matter what condition the coin is, it drives me nuts, especially when I cropped or edited the image.

And very true Mark. It's like changing old socks.

Have the mods look at the picture to see if it's good enough, just like adding new coins.
