Tropical storm/hurricane

I'm going to go searching the beach after it makes landfall. I wonder if I'll find a coin.
It's worth a shot.  Do you have a metal detector?

We're getting hit by the outer bands but the actual storm is up North in the panhandle. It might be worth a walk along the beach at low tide. We are lucky to be about 100 yards outside of the mandatory evacuation zone.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.

No, no I don't, unfortunately.

I know they can be really expensive, but also really cheap. I took this quick picture just now of mine - it is a cheap one that they sell in toy stores! I got it even cheaper, for £1 at a local sale secondhand.

I guess they make them for parents to buy for their children (hence the gaudy colours) when they are on a beach holiday. I have not used it yet, but my father lent it to a farmer who had lost his keys in a field, and they found them, so it works!

The orange dial on the right is 'OFF' and is on/off switch and volume, on the left is 'FINE TUNE' for adjusting the sensitivity. Above the yellow coil is a twist collar for the height on the telescopic stem.  8)
Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins
I want a metal detector for Christmas, but I get a dirty MS details Morgan, a low-grade Peace, and an electric keyboard with 400 tones. And, of course, 30 dollars.
Ugh... can't go...
