What is a good price for bulk half-pennys

Heya, all,

I have a chance to get UK pre-decimal halfpennys in bulk. Here here, I know they are super common coins, but the thing with these is that they are mint with lustre, and all because they are actually bags from mint that minted them and they never went into circulation. Mind you, I wouldn't call them all UNC though as they have some scratches from being tossed around in warehouses in their huge cloth bags.
I could get them for like 25euro per pound. Thats around 480 coins in it, which makes piece price a lil over 5cents.

Is this a good price or still a rip-off considering they are just so common? Or does their condition make worth my while getting them?
That sounds insanely high to me, I try to find Individuals who have a lot they are getting rid of. But if someone is selling off bulk coins, especially all the same type you should get them for like 3 Euro, of copper melt value even.

However, what are the Date ranges?
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

Looking for pre 1783 coins
Yep, it's all about the dates. The mint knew in 1967 that it would be four years down the road before the decimal coinage was in full production so they minted an abundance during that year. They are common even in high grades as many were kept as sentimental reminders. A lot were put into sets such as the Farewell to Sterling ones.

As such the 1967 issues have no significant value as the supply far exceeds demand. Long term it may prove to be a good buy but it's probably going to be your grandchildren who reap the benefits.

If they are mixed dates then the picture changes, the earlier the better obviously.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.

All years from 60's and few from 50's - that's all.
I love them and pennys - I would say get them all. And keep them. You can never have enough UK 1/2 and 1 penny coins.
It is, what it is, or is it.
lol, yea, I like them too, but I always have a bit of storage room problem, so I can't hoard too big bags of double coins to keep forever...
KartWay can you walk to the bathroom to the kitchen You have room.
It is, what it is, or is it.
That reminds me I have a roll of UK half pennies as well; admittedly the one I got was already opened and contains 40 coins (1967) instead of the 50 it used to have. The others I have (various UK coins) are the more recent rolls are in plastic and the older rolls are in a cardboard tube ...

1/2 penny 1967 - tube of 50 (originally)
1 penny 1967 - tube of 50
3 pence 1967 - tube of 25

1/2 new pence 1971 - roll of 50 (I have three rolls)
2 new pence 1971 - roll of 50
25 new pence (crown) 1977 (silver jubilee) - tube of 20
