So, there are 3 main types of 25 centimes (Oran) listed in Krause Book:
1. KM #TnE3 - 1921. Oran Chamber of Commerce "without chains"

2.KM# TnE4 1921 25 CENTIMES
Aluminum Issuer: Oran Chamber of Commerce Obv: Small
crowned shield, chains Rev: Large value within wreath

3. KM# TnE5 - 1922 25 CENTIMES
Aluminum Issuer: Oran Chamber of Commerce Note:

It's a picture of Tn E3, " without chains, 1921"

and here is a picture of TnE5

Well, which is Tn E4?
trusting Krause book, it must be 1921, with chains, as 1922 type. And its reverse is same to Tn E3.

Question: what is a difference between Tn E4 and Tn E5? Just year??? Do someone have a picture?

Thanks in advance

best
David
Hi David,

according to my list I have Tn05 in my collection. I'll send you an image, when I'll be back in France in the end of this month.

dear Ole
I have Tn E5 as well. Im interesting  which is Tn E4?
Can anybody help with this TnE4?

again, my question is:
1. What is the difference between Tn En and TnE5 ? KM says that both are with chains. Is there any special detail in TnE4 besides year, which makes it different catalog number?
2. Could anyone post a picture of TnE4?

Thanks again ( after a year)

Best
David

In some of the Krause editions (f.i. 2006, 2008) there is a picture with the KM # TnE4. Unfortunately, it's a wrong picture because the date is 1922.

Even on several renowned websites the reference is wrong:

Catawiki states this obvious KM # TnE3 as an KM # TnE4: http://www.catawiki.com/catalog/coins/countries/oran/3673703-oran-25-centimes-1921
MA-shops calls this KM # TnE3 a KM # TnE5: http://www.ma-shops.de/sesambestcoins/item.php5?id=15391
According to Krause the reverses of the KM # TnE4 and the KM # TnE3 are the same, so the difference must be in the obverse. Hardly to believe that only a change in date gives a new KM # number.

I had a face to face swap with a fellow countryman and he showed me during my visit a thick catalog with African tokens/notgeld. I'm not sure anymore if it were only African tokens/notgeld but at least part of it was. I had the book in my hand and browsed it and I remember I searched for the Algerian notgeld because I have a few of my own. I can't remember if there was a picture in it for every type, but I'll send him a message and also ask for the name of that catalog.
This is what Michel ( Cobra) wrote me about it:
Bonjour.
Je pense que la troisième version est un flans mince.
