Countermark on a Vittorio Emanuele II 10 Centesimi

Recently I came across this Italy KM11 10 Centesimi - Vittorio Emanuele II:

On its obverse it has a countermark saying "20 MARS 1878".
Does anyone know what this means (and what happened on that date)?
Nothing particular about the 20th March 1878. It might have been stamped to recall someone's trip to Italy.
King Vittorio Emanuele II was already died on 20 march!!

Yes indeed, he died januari 9
But perhaps a commemoration?
Non est totum quod splendet ut aurum
Rijkdom bestaat niet uit het hebben van veel bezittingen, maar in het hebben van weinig behoeften
Only thing related to that date is Germany That I can google find.

I've just finished the Vittorio Emanuele biography, nothing for that date, I've checked Umberto's biography but nothing.
