Recently I came across this Italy KM11 10 Centesimi - Vittorio Emanuele II:
On its obverse it has a countermark saying "20 MARS 1878".
Does anyone know what this means (and what happened on that date)?

Nothing particular about the 20th March 1878. It might have been stamped to recall someone's trip to Italy.

I've just finished the Vittorio Emanuele biography, nothing for that date, I've checked Umberto's biography but nothing.
