I have the impression the search engine does not work fully good. Sometimes bug, sometimes just not that easy to use.
This post is to report problems you have had that seem related to the search system that may be corrected.
1. Comments do not seem to be included in the fields being searched. I made a few tests with a fancy word, all negative. Try to find "Zorglub"
2. When you do an easy search, as far as the coin type is set to all, it works. If you start to reduce, then you have trouble.
ex. put ship* and coin type token gives no result. There are 100s of tokens with ships.
Same for "non circulating"
3. Little problem with Non Dated coins that v314pan told me about,
Ex the 60th anniversary of Franz Joseph coronation. Such commemos are often classified as ND because the date is that of the event, not always of the production of the coin.
So if I "easy search 1908 all coins", I get my 4 coins in the middle of plenty.
If I "advanced search Austria Habsburg date 1908", I get only 2 which were entered as dated coins, not the ND ones.
So date in ND coins is not in the date field, and gives the impression coins are not there, or search does not work.
