Quote: "pcarey2003"Is it possible to add the option to rotate views when they are enlarged? Occasionally people post images of their coins rotated 90° or 180°. It would be very useful to view the enlarged image and then rotate it as necessary.
Just a thought.

Feel free to post this as a new idea in the forum.
As per quote above, I think it would be a good idea to be able to rotate views on the image enlargments. Occasionally pictures are posted where the coins are rotated through 90° or even 180°, it would be very nice if we could have the option to rotate the view clockwise or anti-clockwise.
I think that Numista members should take more effort in editing the images being submitted by Users to Numista (rotating them, improving quality, etc.)
This would solve the issue in a more elegant way ))
Also sometimes it is not the fault of the member that the picture is rotated. This happened to me a few times with my camera that has screen rotation.
You take your pictures and the camera writes in the Exif (Image Metadata) of the picture file the position of the camera but this file can be ignored by some picture viewers but not by the Numista server. So you can see a normal aligned pic on you computer but it will be rotated after you have uploaded it here.
Hello,
It's certainly not the most essential feature, but I've just implemented this nice addition. When you open an enlarged picture, you can drag and rotate it. It may help when people post a coin picture for identification and they could not identify the correct orientation.
Note that this is reserved for the desktop version of Numista.
