I just picked up a Canadian 10 cent coin from 1910. Do you think this is good enough for XF or is it a VF+?

I think XF

That's what I was thinking too because the ear and crown look good, but there is blurring on the beard and moustache, but sometimes that happens because of a weak strike.

I would say xf as well
never kill a mockingbird: it's bad luck.
I could see it being called low AU...
I collect anything: If it's Italian or Italian states i collect it even more!
XF also. The reverse is excellent.
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble.  It's what you know for sure, that just ain't so.  Mark Twain
That's good because the price I paid for it was in between the catalogue value for VF and XF. The reverse is a no brainer, it's definitely XF-AU, it's the obverse that had me stumped as to a grade.

Geez, mine must be MS70 if that is their example of an AU coin http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-grading.php?grade=10-cents-1902-to-1910-Edward-VII&id=21
Yeah, they are a bit ambitious with their grading there . Their example looks to be about XF while yours looks XF+. Following Charlton seems to put AU just out of reach for your coin. Very nice!

I'm a happy camper then. I paid NZ$35 which is US$24 and apparently the catalogue value in XF is US$40
I would say that obverse is VF+ and the reverse is XF, so for me it is overall almost XF grade.
