I think the search has a bug with tokens:
If I search for example: country:"* Tokens *" United States - Transit Tokens
with all options, I get 358 tokens.
If I unclick commemoratives, I still get all 358, including this one with commem=no
If I unclick commemoratives and non-commems, I get 351 tokens, including this which has token=yes and all other options unknown, but not this which has all options unknown. I think unclicking commemoratives and non-commems brings just all coins that have token=yes.
Unclicking circulating and non-circulating does the same, I still get all tokens.
If I unclick tokens, I get 7 tokens, these are the 7 tokens that have token=no or token=unknown.
I just made a modification of the catalogue to avoid this issue.
Up to now a coin had several characteristics: commemorative (yes, no or unknown), circulating (yes, no, unknown), token (yes, no, unknown) and pattern (yes, no, unknown). This led to confusion, especially since some combinations made little sense. For instance, what is the point of telling whether a pattern is circulating or not?
Instead, each coin is now part of one of 5 categories: common coins, commemorative coins, non circulating coins, patterns and tokens.
Search is made easier since a coin cannot belong to several categories, so the 5 coin type search options can be used independently.
How will we class coins that are, for example, mule, or piedforts? It seems those should be a choice if patterns and tokens are a choice. A piedfort or a mule are not common, commemoratives, circulated, etc.

Seems that some coins need type added. And some coins changed type. I kept a list of non commemorative circulating coins from 1900-2017. For example I found Albania had 55 coins in the catalog on February 1st, now I only found 39 common coins from 1900-2017. What is going on. Same with Armenia I have 2 coins and they don't show up under common because they don't have a type assigned yet
And how do we do with patterns which have all the same characteristics as the circulating coin?
Does this mean creating 2 forms repeating the same information twice?
Honestly, this is a waste of time entering the information twice, maintaining coherency between the 2 forms. And in terms of database scheme, this is not in line with one of the canonical forms (don't remember which one, sorry).

Usually, patterns are somehow different from normal coins - different metals or added word or something. And they mostly have different catalogue number. This combined creates need for new coin page.
