Too perfect coin? [solved]

6 posts
Hallo Collector
I got an auction - a coin of the Middle Ages ( From the territory of Hungary) + one too perfect to do.
( The others are waiting for idetification)
this is a lot:

I'm convinced of authenticity.
It is the state of the UNC coin and how it is given the age of the coin?
My question is can the coin be in such good condition? Isn't that a fake? The auction is from a proven dealer and guarantees the originality. Glove -reaching out when I photographed a coin.

Hello!
just a tiny extra info: in the newest catalogues this coin is under uncertain issuer, not III. Istvan.

about the condition: you can find really nice coins from the Arpadian-era, my opinion is, this coins can be this nice :)

Hi and thank you for the information
So I understood that the coin was minted-successor to the throne Béla lll.

Yes, really nice coins from this era, maybe people didn't need and use them- ha, ha ,ha.
Thanks for the information.

Most Hungarian coins from that era are found by individuals who hunt for them with metal detectors and then sell them to dealers. They are usually part of a bigger find consisting of dozens or hundreds of coins. These lots were buried by their owners a long time ago for various reasons, so most of them did not really circulate. Circulating coins were collected and melted to produce new coins from time to time, so heavily circulated coins only appear when someone finds one single coin which fell out of the pocket of a random person a few hundreds years ago.
And as most dénár coins are quite common and easily available in good condition, dealers don't really keep the damaged or worn coins. Sometimes they are being sold as lots, but in most cases they only end up as scrap silver. Rare types are usually available in worse grades as well.

(It's illegal to use a metal detector in Hungary, but in my opinion it's still better if the coins are found than to let them rot in the ground. The government doesn't have the money to pay more archeologists, and politicians are only patriots when they need the votes of stupid far-right nationalists. On the other hand in the countryside nearly every bigger village has an old castle which is collapsing because there are not enough funds to maintain their condition. However they had the money to build a stadium with 3500 seats next to the house of the prime minister in his village, which only has population of 1800).
I collect such coins and I think it's real, very nice coin! :)

If you need help identifying the other coins post some better photos although some can already be identified, for instance the third coin in the first row is if I'm not mistaken a Quarting while the first coin in the third row seems to be a Parvus, I'd really like to see it's reverse. The coins in the second row also look interesting but I can't identify them off this photo. :)

Some of the coins seem to be Islamic not Hungarian.
I collect and deal in ancient Roman coin. In case you're looking for affordable ancient coins or need any help with the coins you already have send me a message.

Ahoj friends.
Consent of everything ,, BSmith,, -only people in politics are the same everywhere.
Only my opinion is that behind the quality of a large number of denarii, there must be a rational explanation. we have a history in common, neighborhood, together , kings and emperors. And yet, in my opinion, there is a large number of preserved coins in the denar period of the,, Arpads,,. I think they are more affordable than the coins of the Czech Kingdom.
Thank you for the information.
Yes ,, cro321,, I will photograph each coin separately. I think the two are Ottoman because of the historical territory. And thank you for first aid. I really appreciate it.
Today I will publish in idetification. Thank you and have a nice day.
