I have just left my first negative feedback and have a few questions/thoughts.

What is the percentage of negative feedback you leave, if ever?
Do people leave negative reviews if you give them a bad review first just as revenge?

So Sorry to hear that. I had the same experience with him, and had hoped it was a fluke, but sadly, it seems to be a pattern. It was the only negative review I've ever given. So, Id say most folks low ratings are a fairly minimal percentage.

Yep, as expected. Now I got a bad review just for speaking up and grading him low, even though he received my coins. So, everyone, just be careful!
Really sorry to see this kind of thing happening on Numista.

I think that retaliatory feedback should be discarded when Average Rating is calculated.

As for the available tools, I hope a swap moderator (or admin) will be able to see the clear picture, talk to both sides and figure out what to do with this.
I took a look when reading the initial thread, but there wasn’t really enough evidence to add a swap warning or anything. I’ll message Xavier to ask for ability to modify swap ratings.
I completed a swap months back. It was confirmed by both of us. After confirmation my trading partner changed his mind and didn't want to swap some of the coins he had agreed to swap. He offered replacement coins that were in bad condition and I had no interest in. I refused to accept them. Because of this refusal, and as the swap had already been confirmed, he awarded me 0 stars eventhough no coins were ever sent by either of us.

I reported this and Xavier changed the 0 stars to a no grade. Hopefully he can do the same for you.
Good news. I'll be deleting the retaliatory feedback shortly. Just waiting on a tiny database issue.

Really?? I would have survived even with it. But thanks a lot!
I asked him a year ago if he wanted to swap and never got an answer, twice. Now I'm glad he didn't.

To play devils advocate I will say I have had multiple swaps with him and never had any issues and would probably swap again if the opportunity arises.

Sorry you had a bad experience with him
Matt
