I've had a transaction with another member recently where he claims he never received my coins, and I definitely never received his. This same member has complained on three different occasions that he hasn't received coins from others.
Instead of going negative, I used "no feedback" and left a neutral statement saying that apparently things got lost in the mail. I feel like that's the proper thing to do without evidence of outright fraud, and it helps document, so in the future, if another member has the same problem with a user, they may have further evidence that this user may not be forthright.
Now, in response, this user left me a "0" feedback, thus tanking my rating. I've had 16 "5-star" feedbacks, and now this one just makes it look bad, and I believe isn't deserved. I have proof of customs declaration, and I know the exact date I mailed it, so I can show that mine were actually mailed.
Is there any way to have a user's unjustly-given negative feedback changed to a neutral one? I'm not asking for anything to be white-washed, but it seems that if a user really was to use this site to scam coins off another user, all they'd have to do is pull a "I never received my coins either!" trick, and give the innocent user negative ratings.
Also I want to add that I had a swap of very valuable coins with Clark Tew, so I know that he is fair and honest, I would fully trust him with my entire collection.
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!
Thank you for your kind words! I don't think its a postal issue. I posted my coins on Feb 6th, and I have a copy of the customs declaration. It has now been almost exactly 45 days and neither package has reached its destination? I think not. I've received media mail shipments from Bulgaria that take less time.

Ditto. 'nuff said.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.

Yea, that's a long time, I lost a package in one swap and resent, and that really hurt, but the other guy was understanding, I still wonder if I should have resent, but your right, I doubt this is postal if you have a customs declaration. I would say that your guys rating response is kind of incriminating on his part, to be honest I started a swap with him and his wording made me feel like canceling the swap.
Sorry you lost valuable coins.

Honestly, the funny thing about it is some or most of my coins were legal tender worth about $5.00. His one coin was a measly 1/2 Franken worth about $4.00 (depending on condition -- since I never saw it I'll never know). If you're going to ruin your reputation on here, at least do it for a freaking thaler or a gold piece. Then at least the sender should be blamed for sending something worth so much to a rando.
It stands to reason that no one would cheat on a $5 deal, so I think you should just see if you can get your rating fixed and chalk it up as some kind of mistake.
