on the British west ideas dollar section there is the 25 cent coin and there shows a slot to add a undated coin to your collection which is the 25 cent coins, can some one show an example of a undated 25 cent coin from the British west ideas dollar?

I don't see any reason for this extra line.

In the case of the Buffalo nickels, for example, an extra line makes sense because the date is the first thing to wear out. This is not an issue with the coin you mention.

There isn't any information about year lines in the modifications history so I have no idea how this specific year line came into our catalogue. Probably for the coins where the date is not readable anymore. But this is useless, these coins are completely worthless without a readable date. So the year line should be removed but in the mean time 48 members ticked this box. That can't be all unreadable dates so I guess several type collectors just check the first year line per type. But because of these 48 members I can't delete this year line. A master referee or catalog administrator however can do this.
Exactly what I thought but I didn't expect so many collectors had used that line. It shows that the rarity index is of little value.

I have noticed that when Canadian rare varieties happen to be listed above the common type, the rare varieties look like they're much more common than they should be ...

Perhaps the "no date" line should become the "KM # type" line, and this could be done for ... every coin ...

I just was kinda stumped because I know some coins have no years or have dates that are produced for longer then dated. should we remove this row no to confuse ?, this line also appears ono there coins from china 1 jiao and other east Caribbean dollar coins.
A lot of people who do not care about a year just simply click the first line to add their coins (or the second if the miss the first one). It happens to all the coins. That is why you should not take seriously into consideration the rarity index, especially for rare coins from the first line. It only can give you a general idea.

As an example, this coin had a mintage of 100 in 1992. I can bet no one on Numista has it, but a lot of people have checked it, only because it is first in line.

Even for collectors who go to the right year, they tend to click on the first line if there are more than one variety. For example the 1888 Canada 50¢:

Obverse E3 (H3 in recent editions of the Charlton catalogue) is the commonest of the three, but most collectors don't know the difference and just click on the first line.
